I recently purchased my first home in Bonita Springs, which is a pretty big deal for a guy in his early twenties. Although I really love the house and location, the kitchen in my new home left a bit to be desired. The former homeowners had redone the kitchen about a year before I bought the house, but I don’t know what they were thinking when they selected everything.

After living in our home for a little over five years, the cabinetry in the kitchen started losing the luster they once had. One of the reasons that I bought the house was because the kitchen looked really nice. I decided to stop over at Home Depot to check out the prices of new kitchen cabinets. I was floored at how expensive they were! Obviously, I knew that my modest budget wouldn’t be able to handle such a large expenditure so I left the store thinking I would just have to live with the cabinets as they were.

About six months ago, my husband and I purchased our first home here in beautiful, Naples, Florida. We love it here but since we had a very tight budget, we had to buy a house that needed some work and upgrades. While the house we bought did need help, it was better than most of the others that we had looked at. One of the biggest problems that this house had was that whomever owned it, had the craziest taste in color schemes that I have ever seen. In all honesty, I couldn’t even imagine these crazy color combinations in my wildest nightmares. Yes, they were that garish.

I’ve been living here in Port Royal for about six years now. Naturally when the home was first built, the exterior paint was fresh and new. Of course, I have the home and hard surfaces power washed annually however; the wonderful, Florida sun has been taking its toll on the home’s paint. I recently started to notice small cracks on the concrete driveway leading up to my garage, as well as some small fissures on the walkway leading up to my front door.
